This morning, the Maintenance Crew gathered at Rapho for a workout built around 9, 11, and 343 as we remembered those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and those who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to get away.
Warm-Up with Rapho PAX – 9 Reps Each
Grass Pickers – 9 IC
SSH – 9 IC
Imperial Walkers – 9 IC
Arm Circles – 9 forward / 9 backward
Slow Squats – 9
Merkins – 9
The Thang – 11
We took a slow mosey/walk around Rapho, stopping approximately every 0.10 mile. At each stop, we knocked out 11 reps of:
Toy Soldiers 11 IC
High Knees 11 IC
Calf Raises 11 IC
Grass Pickers 11 IC
Squats 11 IC
Jump Squats 11
Monkey Humpers 11 IC
Reverse Lunges 11 Each Leg
Carolina Dry Docks 11
Finisher – 343
The FDNY lost 343 firefighters on 9/11.
As a group, the PAX accumulated 343 step-ups. Everyone contributed, and we kept moving until we hit 343.
A simple workout with numbers that mean something.
We finished with Count-o-Rama, Name-o-Rama, COT, Coffeeteria, and QSource.
Today reminded us of sacrifice, courage, service, and the importance of remembering those who never made it home.
