I was the bully, Scut Farkus and his little toadie, Grover Dill was Caterpillar. We chased the other PAX like a game of tag. When Scut Farkus caught a victim, the victim yells ‘UNCLE!’ Everyone stops running.

-No surrenders (x10 IC)

*Patches was made to hold a plank during the game. He was Rudolph, and wasn’t allowed to join any of the reindeer games!

Mosey across the ocean (across the street to the elementary school) to the Alps of Austria for the Sound of Music

(I know The Sound of Music isn’t really a Christmas movie, but when I was younger, my mom always enjoyed watching this movie around the holidays!)

The Hills Are A.L.I.V.E!

Sprint up hill: A – A bunch of burpees (x5 OYO), sprint back down hill

Sprint up hill: L – Lunges (x10 Each Leg OYO), sprint back down hill

Sprint up hill: I – Imperial Walkers (x15 IC OYO), sprint back down hill

Sprint up hill: V – V-Ups (x20 OYO), sprint back down hill

Climb up hill: E – Everest (while climbing up hill, lung, lunge, squat, lunge, lunge, squat….continue til top of hill)

It’s A Wonderful Life…they are sledding on shovels. We didn’t have a shovel, but we had our butts!

Mosey to California (back to field) and enter the duct work of Nakatomi Tower (Die Hard is a Christmas movie!)

-Tunnel of Love (Light your zippo, crawl through the duct work: “Come out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs.”)

Let’s start Christmas Vacation…mosey to blocks

-Flying Squirrels (x10 OYO) (We couldn’t hear the dump truck driving through the nitroglycerin plant)

-Grave Diggers (x10 IC) (We found the perfect Griswold Family Chistmas tree, but we forgot a saw so we had to dig it out of the ground)

By this time, we all felt like The Grinch

-WWIII (x10 OYO) (The Grinch declared war on Christmas!)

-Goblet Squats (x10 IC) (The Grinch picking up and stealing the presents)

-Mountain Climbers (x20 IC) (Have to climb Mt. Crumpit)

-Arm Curl Cindy Lou Who (x15 IC) (Grinch had a change of heart and hugged Cindy Lou Who)

Time for Elf!

Run through the Candy Cane Forest (mosey around the trees), past the Sea of Swirly-Twirly Gumdrops (mosey around the grassy area near pavilion), then (Lunge) walk through the Lincoln Tunnel (Pavilion) to the city (playground)

-Pull-Ups (x10 OYO) (When Buddy’s in jail, other guys around him are doing pull ups.)

-Jackees (x10 OYO) (Burpee w/ SSH) (Buddy got sent to where the “special” elves go, and tested the Jack-In-The-Box toys)

Time for Home Alone

Harry and Marv did a dead hang, and “walked” the rope to the tree house to get Kevin.

All PAX hold low plank in a line, while 2 Pax at a time dead hang walk across the monkey bars, and hold low plank until all PAX have made it to the tree house.

-WWI (When Kevin’s mom realizes she forgot him, she sits up and yells KEVIN!)

(I don’t know how many we did, because I was laughing too much to count, because everyone was yelling KEVIN every time they sat up.)

Mosey back to blocks, Red Rider B.B. Gun carry to the flag to hang out with the Peanuts Gang for A Charlie Brown Christmas

-Apollo Ono (x10 IC) (Peanuts Gang skating)

-Calf Raises w/ block (x20 IC) (Five in the dancing scene)

-Hold Low Plank while I read:

We all may be block heads from time to time like Charlie Brown, but as long as we stay humble, and remember the real reason behind Christmas, we can have peace, knowing we have a king and savior who loves us so much that he left the glory of heaven to live a life here on earth with us, to show us the way, and to walk along side of us no matter what we’re facing.

Prayers for Bunyan’s M, Eagle’s M, and Eagle. Prayers for Big Blue and his dad. Also prayers for Drawstring’s daughter who was in a car accident, but is thankfully ok and uninjured. As well as Cliffhanger’s friend who was also in a car accident. Prayers for Humble Pie and his family, as they prepare for their trip to Central America to work with some missionaries, and help put up some buildings.
