Bring out your inner lumberjack

Bring out your inner lumberjack
DATE: Sat, Dec 3, 2022
PAX (9): Caterpillar, Lox, Cholula, No Doubt, Hardcode, Care Bear, Chowdah, Patches, Bunyan
BACKBLAST:

Nine PAX braved the rain, embraced the suck, and entered the forest with their lumberjack VQ and prepared themselves for whatever beatdown was about to come their way! Here's what we encountered, axe's at the ready…

WARM-UP:

Arm Circles (x10ic)

Slow Circle Arms (x10ic)

VQ introduced a new excercise: Lumberjack Poopers (x10ic) (similar to Monkey Humpers, with a jump and ax swing on 3 count)

Mosey to large pavilion, line up in circle, put down water bottle.

Mosey back to flag, and line up in a line.

THE THANG:

Line up in tree hugger position, with Q and a log at the end of the line. Q passes log between legs up to next guy in line, then runs to the front of the line. Log continues to be passed through legs to next guy, as the indian run continues. Reversed this halfway and did an indian nur, and passing the logs backwards through the legs. All while maintaining tree hugger stance.

Once to the large pavilion, line up in circle. Two logs in the corner or pavilion. Q and another PAX each pick up a log, and do arm curls while lumbering (walking) to other end of the pavilion. At other end, do (x10 OYO) Merkins on the log, then arm curls while lumbering back to starting position. While those 2 PAX carried their logs, other PAX in circle did shoulder-tap plank. Once log carriers were back, everyone rotated one position to left, and workout continued while next 2 PAX carried logs. While they carried logs, PAX in circle did:

-WWII's (ic) until log carriers got back to circle, rotate one position, next 2 PAX pick up logs,

-Squats (ic)

-Dog peeing on tree (Firehydrants) (ic)

-Lumberjack Poopers (ic)

-Flutter Kicks (ic)

-Side Straddle Hops (ic)

-Lunges (ic)

-Box Jumps (ic)

-Dips (ic)

-No surrenders (ic)

-LBC (ic)

Once everyone carried log twice by doing bicep curls, changed log carrier exercise to Murder Bunny with the log to end of pavilion and back, while rest of PAX rotated through previous exercises.

Patches was late, but we couldn't be too upset with him, because he brought the coffeeteria supplies, but we did still had to end with penalty burpies!

COT:

Prayer requests: Lox's father-in-law made it through surgery, but is still in hospital. Hopes to be home on Monday, so prayers for continued recovery. Also, his father has lung cancer, so prayers for guidance and wisdom moving forward with treatments. Moose and Bunyan's M's, and their hardships with recovery, and continued healing and guidance moving forward. Prayers for Chowdah's 2.0, going through 6 hours of physical fitness testing today.

Thanks for following my lead in the gloom and letting me bring out your inner lumberjack!
