DATE: Sat, Mar 9, 2024
PAX (4): Care Bear, Caterpillar, Not My Day
BACKBLAST:

Warm Up:

Care Bear, Caterpillar & I headed to Hopeland United Methodist Church this morning, near Ephrata. This was the church I grew up in, and my dad (Not My Day) still attends this church.

-Great message from Care Bear for the men’s breakfast, about seeing God in all things, through good and bad times. Great gospel message, and also a great message about sharing with each other, and helping each other see Jesus in all things.

-Mosey up the hill to the top of the cemetery

-5 Core Principals & Credo

-Arm Circles, Circle Arms (x10 IC each) (I think I did them the right way this time!)

-Michael Phelps (x10 IC)

-Grass Pickers (x10 IC)

-The Motivator (10 down to 1)

The Thang:

-WWII’s with arms linked in brotherhood, and since the cemetery has a lot of WWII vets.

-The Hills Are A.L.I.V.E. This hill has a lot of residents that are no longer alive, but alive in Christ.

-Run to top of hill – A: A Bunch of Burpees (x10)

-Run down hill, Run to top of hill – L: Lunges (x15 IC)

-Run down hill, Run to top of hill – I: Imperial Walkers (x20 IC)

-Run down hill, Run to top of hill – V: V-Ups (x25 SC)

-Run down hill… – E: Everest (Lunge, Lunge, Squat to top of hill)

-Bear Crawl (approx. 25 yds.)

-Flying Nuns (approx. 25 yds.)

-Pinky Pie at bench

-Flutter Kicks (x30 IC)

-Mosey down hill to parking lot.

Had a few more things planned, but our WO got interrupted by someone visiting the cemetery, and we all had to get home.

COT

Thankful for Care Bear and the message he shared, and for the brotherhood we have. Thankful for F3, and the brotherhood and accountability we have to each other. The pastor shared an observation with us this morning how men tend to isolate themselves more and more as they get older, and he definitely see the benefits of F3. He joined us for the prayer as well. Great way to start the morning, and hoping someday we can get an AO started in the Ephrata area!
