(The Sound of Music isn’t really a Christmas movie, but the song “Favorite Things” is played as a Christmas song, and it’s always on TV around the holidays)

 

The Hills Are A.L.I.V.E!

Run up hill: A – A bunch of burpees (x5 OYO)

Run up hill: L – Lunges (x10 total – x5 each leg)

Run up hill: I – Imperial Walkers (x15 SC OYO)

Run up hill: V – V-Ups (x20 SC OYO)

Climb hill:  E – Everest (go up hill, lunge, squat, lunge, squat, lunge, squat…continue till top of hill)

 

Mosey back to field, and enter the duct work of Nakatomi Tower to begin Die Hard! (Die Hard is a Christmas movie!)

-Tunnel of Love till everyone goes through once. (Light your zippo, crawl through the duct work: “Come out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs.”)

Now we start Christmas Vacation…

“We’re kicking off our fun, old-fashioned family Christmas by heading out into the country in the old front-wheel drive sleigh to embrace the frosty majesty of the winter landscape and select the most important of Christmas symbols.” …A Christmas tree with a squirrel in it!

-Circle of Flying Squirrels: In Circle, everyone High Knees, go around circle (penalty burpee style), until each PAX yells “SQUIRREL!!!”..and we all do a flying squirrel.

(We couldn’t hear the dump truck driving through the nitroglycerin plant)

 

Time to start The Grinch…

-WWII (x15 IC) (The Grinch declared war on Christmas!)

-Jump Squats (x15 SC) (The Grinch picking up presents and throwing them on the sled)

-Mountain Climbers (x20 IC) (Have to climb up Mt. Crumpit)

 

Now we begin the movie Elf!

In the movie, Buddy says: “I passed through the seven levels of the candy cane forest, through the sea of swirly-twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel”

-Run through the 7 levels of the Candy Cane Forest (Run around trees & candy canes by pavilion)

-Australian Snow Angels (x10 IC) –as a way to swim through the sea of swirly-twirly gumdrops

-Walk through the Lincoln Tunnel (Tip-Toe Walk from one end of pavilion to the other)

-Pull-Ups (x10 OYO) (There’s a scene in Elf when he’s in jail, and other guys around him are doing pull ups.)

-Jackees (x5 OYO) (Burpee w/ SSH instead of just a jump) (Buddy went to where the special elves went, and tested the Jack in the box toys)

-Smurf Jacks (x15 IC) (from Dancing scene in the mailroom)

 

Now we begin Home Alone…

Linus then recites Luke 2:8-14

-Prayers for my M and her continued health concerns.  Also, our daughter Gabby got her driver’s permit yesterday.

 

We all may be block heads from time to time like Charlie Brown, but we can always remember the real reason behind Christmas, we can have peace, knowing we have a king and savior who loves us so much that he left the glory of heaven to live a life here on earth with us, to show us the way, and to walk along side of us no matter what we’re facing, and to ultimately die in our place to open the way to the Father.
