The Thang:

Let’s build a chicken coop now-vonst A-while!  Gotta get some Lancaster County Dutch jargon in there.

Over the river and through the woods to No Doubt’s farmstead we go…to build a chicken coop for a benefit auction for Hope, Inspire, Love.  Little Bunyan was in heaven playing on the farm, while the grown men added some saw dust to our beards!  A lot of lumber was moved, saw dust flew, 2 by 4’s were cut (What’s a tuba-for??), Chumbawamba gave us an education…yikes!, safety glasses were worn on the forehead too many times (Right No Doubt??), Bunyan did his best impression of the Brawny Paper Towel man, the real length of 6 inches was debated, Door Dash was caged, and Little Bunyan turned into a chicken in the attic!  Oh, we think we figured out why they’re called chicken strips! Yikes! Also, because I’m a nice guy and lent out my Milwaukee tools to a friend in need, I wasn’t able to bring very many of my tools.  So the DeWalt vs. Milwaukee battle was won by DeWalt today.  Boo.  But at least my Milwaukee tape measure was the most accurate tape measure!

No Doubt, thank you for organizing this and opening up your farm for us to do the build!  And for providing lunch…Pizza Pizza!  It was a great time, and we build one heck of a nice chicken coop.  This thing could have a built in Jacuzzi, with a patio on the side for a fire-pit and garden.
