5 whippersnappers and 3 distinguished elder gentlemen made it out in the gloom for a geriatric beatdown.

Whippersnapper warmup

These kids don’t appreciate the good old days and the slow life…we gathered on the front porch to take a nap in our favorite rocking chair and did:

Tennessee Rocking Chairs x10ic

Toy Soldiers x10ic

Imperial Walkers x10ic

Arm circles x10ic

Circle arms x10ic

Michael Phelps x10ic

Dagnabit! It was time to wake up from our nap and do some exercises that start with the letter D. Grandpa forgot how to count so we just did a bunch to wake up these rapscallions. But as we had one slacker we apparently rolled out of bed whenever he felt the spirit move him we first did 10 penalty burpees.

Derkins x30

Dips x50

Stop loafing around! We moseyed over to the soccer fields but towards the side with lights so Grandpa could read his notes with his bifocals.

Kwitcherbelliachen!

LBCs x50

WW2s x40

Boat/canoes – I don’t know how many but people were whining about somethin’ the whole time. Kids these days!

American Hammers x20ic

I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!

We did a short bear crawl and then fell over and were stuck on our backs for a spell.

Pickle Pointers x30 regular way

Pickle Pointers x10 left leg up

Pickle Pointers x10 right leg up

There was a lot of kervetching at this point. We kept going anyway.

Flutterkicks x25ic

Hello Dollys x20

We still couldn’t get up so had to crab walk back to where we started.

Wobbly legs and creaky knees

Monkey Humpers x50

Lunge walk a little ways

Low and slow squats x10ic

Lunge walk back so we don’t get lost.

Mountain Climbers x10ic

Where are we?

We mosied back to the pavilion

Had to see if these whippersnappers remember what it feels like to work.

Lined up on opposite ends of the pavilion paired up with another old fart or pipsqueak.

Did a wheelbarrow to the other side then switched and went back.

No one threw their back out but they sure made a fuss.

Huh? What was that sonny?

We lined up and barely managed to follow directions. This old curmudgeon was ready to hand out a few whooping’s.

Do five merkins and roll to your right…I said right not left! What in tarnation!

Do ten LBCs

Roll right, no your other right!

Do five merkins.

Roll right.

Do WW2s

Roll right and do five merkins.

Roll right and do some flutterkicks.

Roll right and do five merkins.

Roll right and do some pickle pointers.

Back on our feet and we did 15 step ups in cadence.

More derkins x20

Dips x50

COT

Barndoor – family member with some post surgery challenges back at hospital to address those; prayers for girl recovering from a seizure and the other kids that were present.

After all these shenanigans I’m ready for a nap.

Now get off my lawn!
