Prayers for Care Bear’s cousin, and leaning into the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Trojan and his M, and the challenges of raising kids.  Also, his daughter is going to CHOP for a procedure on Monday.

Moleskin & QSD

Awesome discussion today, men.  Been really enjoying these Q source discussions.  Thank you Eagle for taking the picture and stopping by for the discussion.  We focused a lot of our discussion today on failure, and the fear of failure.  But how we need to fail, and learn from it.  Also have grace towards those we’re leading when they fail.

Some points that were brought up:

-Trojan’s an idiot! But we already knew that.

-As men, we’re not made for isolation, but need a group of men around us who will tell us what we need to hear, not just want we want to hear.

-The best example of the LDP we can look to is Jesus with his disciples.  He lead them, taught them, made them his apprentices, then sent them out to give them a chance to fail.  They all failed at times, but he gracefully lead them to a place of learning from their failures.

-Eagle shared examples of how Lanco started, and the SLT began…how as we take on roles and responsibilities, not just in F3, but at work, or home, or community, we need to constantly be on the lookout for who can take our role next.  Continually working ourselves out of a job, and building the next generation of leadership.  Decentralized Execution to Central Purpose.

-I stole this from Payload:

“We all miss the mark at times, and that’s ok.  As long as we try our best and try again to do better, that’s what counts.  We have found this group at different stages in our lives.  We are brothers in the gloom for a reason.  We are there to lift each other up and push one another to be better everyday!” I love you guys, and so glad to be a part of F3 Lanco, but also a part of the larger F3!

“Failing F.O.R.W.A.R.D….

F: Find people who will travel with you

O: Organize your life to learn

R: Risk as great rewards

W: Welcome mistakes

A: Advance based on your character

R: Reevaluate your progress

D: Develop new goals to succeed

What are you learning from your failures?

Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it.

If you’re going to fail…and you will…fail F.O.R.W.A.R.D.”

Thanks for following my lead this morning, and getting really wet and grassy! Glad to have OSHA join us today.  And happy birthday to KITT!!
