History Behind the Numbers…

The Spanish Mission known as the Alamo was built in 1718. On Feb. 24, 1836 a 13 day siege of the Alamo began. On the Final day, March 6th, American folk heroes/ legends Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie were determined to delay the Mexican army giving the rest of Texas time to establish their defenses. Commander William Barrett Travis declared they would have either “victory or death”. Santa Anna, General of the Mexican army initiated a battle lasting only 90 minutes but concluded with all 200 men either killed or captured only to be executed later that day. The bravery and selflessness of these men inside the Alamo, gave the Texans and Sam Houston enough time and inspiration behind the banner “Remember the Alamo” to win the revolution and pave the way to Texas becoming part of the 28th state.

Moleskin: We are stronger than we think and better than we realize. Evident at the end of the WO when a small change resulted in pax not grimacing and struggling but instead smiling and laughing. Nothing got easier; we found a little more inner strength to do hard things better.
