We started out with the main group for warm ups. However during the warm up we had a discussion about what is a “perfect” number for a workout and Big Blue called an audible from his Winkie Quarterback Wristband thingy and decided that 2 PAX was not enough for what his workout called for and joined the maintenance crew. Or they got lost in the smokey haze and ended up following us by accident.
The Thang:
Slowsie to pavilion to begin our workout to Thank Canada for all the “fresh Northern air” they sent us this week.
- Canadian Bacon Stretch — Side bends while saying “sorry” to the guy next to you
- Maple Leaf SSHs — Standard SSHs, but every 3rd hop you whisper “eh”
- Polite Imperial Walkers — Move like you’re trying not to disturb a moose. We ended up doing moose calls in addition for some reason.
- The Foggy Arm Circles — Forward/backward while pretending you can’t see your own hands
- Foggy Flutter Kicks – Kick like you’re trying to disperse the haze with your feet.
- Glacier Glute Bridge Holds – Lift hips, breathe deeply, imagine clean northern air.
- The Great White North LBCs in cadence but instead of a number PAX need to yell out a Canadian city: Toronto, Vancouver, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon (Bonus points for the weird ones.)
- The Passive‑Aggressive Canadian Wave – A traveling wave of overhead claps around the circle. Everyone says “Thanks for the smoke, Canada!” in their most polite voice.
- The Apology Stretch — Deep breath in, whisper “sorry” on the exhale
- Canadian Shield Plank – Hold a 60 second plank while shouting compliments at Canada that sound like insults:
- “Your healthcare system is fine!”
- “Your hockey teams are okay!”
- “Your bacon is basically ham!”
15 min Walk with an EMOM of Stammers (Standing American Hammers)
This was part of an effort to help wave the smoke back to Canada and Minnesota.
Minute 1 : 1 Stammer
Minute 2 : 2 Stammers
Minute 3 : 3 Stammers
Minute 4 : 4 Stammers
And so on for 15 minutes
=120 Stammers

Mobility is about adapting — even when the air gets hazy, the joints get stiff, and your Northern neighbors politely send you wildfire smoke. We show up, we stretch, we laugh, and we keep moving.
Thanks for following my lead!
