The Thang

We mosied over to the baseball diamond and got down on the cool, wet grass for a simple trip around the bases. We stayed on the grass just outside the infield. We briefly touched on some concepts from the Q-source around the difference between a Club and a Team. While both share some aspects of the rule of 3P (Proximity, Purpose and meeting Periodically) the purpose of a Club is more social and for entertainment. An effective Team is founded upon Trust, supports each other even when one member is struggling, and practices the give and take of lifting each other up when one member is in a valley, leveraging our own relative position of strength while in a peak.

 

Home to 1st:

Tunnel of love to get to 1st; once there LBCs x25ic

 

1st to 2nd:

PAX form a plank line, head to toe, stretching out towards 2nd; while other PAX hold plank, the PAX at the back of the line grabs the feet of the PAX in front of him and they wheelbarrow to the front; the “wheelbarrow” stays at the front doing 10 merkins then holding a plank while the “wheelbarrow driver” runs to the back of the line and becomes the wheelbarrow for the last PAX. Repeat until all PAX have been driver and wheelbarrow and did the 10 merkins. Once at 2nd do WW2s x25ic

 

2nd to 3rd:

Form 2 groups of 2 and one group of three and line up towards 3rd. PAX in line lock arms and do back to back squats while waiting; PAX at back lock arms back to back and walk sideways to front of line. Continue rotation until we reach 3rd. At 3rd do 25 merkins.

 

3rd to Home:

Railroad tracks: first PAX holds plank, then in turn each PAX hops or steps over then drops into a plank. Once tracks are laid down the last PAX gets up and hops over and we continue in a rolling fashion until we reach home. Once at home 50 monkey humpers.

 

Mosey back to the pavilion for some additional excercises to fill the time:

Bear crawl 1 lap around pavilion

Finish with a mosey over to the pickleball courts and around the playground back to the flag.

 

COT

Trojan – challenges with 2.0 and some very vulnerable sharing around a struggle with bonding. Prayers for both our hearts to be moved with love towards those God has placed in our care, especially when things are difficult or relationships are strained but also to be moved to loving actions and words even when we don’t feel that warm emotion.
