BACKBLAST:

7 PAX stumbled into the gloom and tried but failed to flee from whatever foul creature pursued them in the dark. Because just like those movies, the game is rigged and by design you can’t outrun that thing that chases you. Or can you? Maybe with some help along the way all can emerge unscathed?

Warm-o-rama

The Thang

Mosey down to the track for some modified Indian runs with a stop for some exercises once all PAX made it to the front of the line. Turns out we are terrible as mindless horror movie psychopaths…every time we caught up to our victims but no one lobbed off any limbs, feasted on flesh, or otherwise incapacitated anyone in a grotesque manner. Now that I think on it, we didn’t perform any better as victims…we mostly stayed together as a group, no one panicked, we kept our wits about us (based on the relative strength of wits among us for some this is quite the accomplishment…), no one died or was even remotely mutilated. As a horror movie this was a total flop… 😆. But what can you expect on a shoestring budget where neither the crew, actors or the director are paid? At least that one guy went the extra mile to show up with some flair with a stunning hair piece despite the low pay. 😉

Round 1 – all PAX did a ner while the pursuing PAX did a zombie shuffle (fast walk dragging one leg)

Merkins x25

WW2s x25

Round 2 – all PAX did a mosey while the pursuing PAX did a speed walk – bonus points to Oneshot for style.

Monkey Humpers x25

LBCs x25ic

Round 3 – all PAX did a bear crawl while the pursuing PAX did a mosey

At this point we peeled off to the bleachers

Sprint up and down stairs

Derkins x25

Dips x40ish – some PAX assumed the QiC was only going to 25 and stopped…we got everyone back in line and stopped around 45…

Back to the track for more modified Indian runs.

Round 4 – all PAX did a crawl bear while pursuing PAX did a bear crawl

Merkins x25

Flutterkicks x25ic

Round 5 – all PAX did carioca while the pursuing PAX did a ner

No surrenders x20ic

Pickle Pointers x25ic

Round 6 – all PAX did a mosey while the pursuing PAX did a sprint

Hold Al Gore with a count off x 3, with strategic pauses by the QiC.

LBCs x25ic

Stay on back and stretch overhead

Back to the bleachers

Straddling the seats do a dip then staying in that position move up to the next bench and do a dip. Repeat until at the top.

Do 25 v-up style crunches while balancing on the bench

Do an inclined merkin while straddling the seats then in that position move down one row and do a merkin. Repeat until at the bottom.

Mosey in the opposite direction around the track.

Stop and cycle through one pull up per PAX with assist as needed. Continue mosey about 2/3 of the way around and stop for rapid fire sets of 10:

10 monkey humpers

10 merkins

10 WW2s

10 LBCs

10 flutterkicks

With one minute remaining run as if your life depends on it back to the flag for COT.

Unlike the movies we all made it out with all of our limbs and even our dignity intact, everyone found their keys, and all cars started on the first try.
